The Dr Dabber Switch 2 provides the closest thing to a quartz banger we've come across in e-rig form. It provides excellent flavour, great functionality, a quality app interface and large chamber which can be loaded with small or large dabs. It is a very impressive and efficient device, worthy of a place in our collection. With a large 20mm Quartz insert and direct airflow into the bubbler it achieves its design brief in style!

With an integrated bubbler system that has direct airflow from the vaporization chamber to the bubbler it provides a complete setup with a small footprint, though it is fairly tall. It comes with a heated dab tool/loading tool and provides everything required to get some epic sessions, aside from the dabs themselves. There is a small taste when new due to the silicone gasket for the bubbler, this goes away after a session or two, is normal for a portable device and is nothing to worry about. 

You will need some cotton buds/swabs to wipe out the quartz banger after each session. 

Update your switch 2 before first use, using the app, if you'd like to run it with custom profiles. Ensure you leave the device on and the app screen open, with your phone screen on while updating to ensure it updates properly. With your phone Bluetooth on, turn on then device then open app. 

Modes - The app allows for a customisable experience. Not only can you set up 5 custom temperature profiles to your liking, it also has three different heating profiles which can be applied!

• Ascent mode - Low to high temperature - maximize flavour initially, leading up to large clouds at the end
• Descent mode - High to low temperature - this functions like a quartz banger, with the temperature starting high then slowly cooling
• Steady mode - Stable temperature - gets the banger up to temperature and then holds it there for the duration of the session

Please read the full instruction manual before operating the device to avoid damaging it! Since it uses induction heating and comes with a heated dab tool, this is particularly important for this device!

• When loading the device using the provided heated dab tool, hover the tool above the dab chamber and press the button once to release your dab. Do not place the heated inside the device as it can mess up the induction field and damage the devices. 
• Do not scrape the dab tool on the quartz insert as it can damage the sensitive electronics and the insert

3. Avoid putting the tip of the loading tool directly into the chamber and do not scrape the tool against the chamber so the induction field is not compromised by the battery-powered drop. This is very important.  

4. Start the Heating Cycle:

   • Put the magnetic carb cap back on and activate the heating cycle as outlined above.

How Do You Clean the Switch 2?

Regular cleaning is essential to maintain your Switch 2. Here’s how to do it:

• Dr Dabber suggests using cotton swabs or even isopropyl snaps to clean every time for optimum flavour and device longevity. 
• Only remove and clean the insert when necessary, and never remove it when the insert is hot in case you burn yourself. 
• To undertake a deep clean, remove the glass attachment and set it on a stable surface, then pry off the aluminium crown to reveal the induction well beneath. Then use the supplied tweezers to remove the insert and be careful as they are very fragile 
• Do not use isopropyl alcohol on the outer shell as it will damage the finish. 
• They advise using 99%  isopropyl alcohol to clean the glass attachment, then make sure that is thoroughly rinsed with water before using it again. 

By following these steps, your Switch 2 will remain in peak condition for longer.
