Battery Safety Information
Here at Recommended Vape Supplies been looking into various suppliers in the UK for high quality batteries for use in vapes and related devices; and for the moment have decided the best and safest option for our customers is to buy our stock directly to our favourite source - Nu Battery! They put safety first by providing only high quality batteries which are also batch tested. If we're out of stock of batteries for a device or you just want to grab some extras we'd suggest jumping on their website and ordering some from there.
Lithium batteries can be dangerous if mistreated or mis-used. Please familiarize yourself with these points.
- Lithium-Ion cells should be charged on a dedicated charger rated specifically for Lithium-Ion cells such as the Xtar chargers we have available
- Never leave a battery unattended whilst charging and always remove them as soon as they're fully charged.
- Always use a case for safe storage when not in use. Never in your pocket, purse etc. Keep away from keys, coins and small metallic objects.
- Keep away from water, fire, animals and children.
- Never leave or store them in direct sunlight or inside vehicles.
- Wraps and insulators should be periodically inspected for tears or damage. If a battery has a damaged wrap, it should be repaired or disposed of immediately.
- If you notice any bulges on a battery, cease use immediately
- Only batteries of the same type, age and level of charge should be used together in multiple battery setups.
- Batteries usually have a cycle life of between 200-500 cycles (varies with manufacturer and usage patterns) before noticeable capacity drop off. Batteries with a notable performance drop off should be recycled at that time.
- Do not crush, incinerate or modify.
- Only use within manufacturers specification.
- Batteries left inside devices for extended periods when not in use can drop below a usable voltage level, these would need to be recharged in an external charger capable of reviving 0 Volt batteries.
- Please discard your batteries in accordance with local regulations and laws.
