The Dani Punch by Battery Free Ganz has been designed to provide excellent performance, with improved flavour, better vapor cooling and more airflow over previous generations of BFG devices. It also has a marginally larger herb chamber with a half pack screen ridge inside to allow for easy microdosing. The Punch comes set up with the half pack screen placement so if you want to load more in just push the screen down into the bottom with the back of a SQP Mini or similar flat tool.

The airflow adjustment is now done by rotating the mouthpiece and the holes are easily visible which makes adjusting it on the fly or during use much easier than before. If the airflow adjustment is a little stiff we suggest applying a little o-ring lubricant to the o-ring to make it rotate nice and smoothly.

Please check out the video on this product listing to see how it is assembled (comes assembled) as it's a little different and you'll want to take it apart for cleaning. All the parts except the Cap and external sleeve can be soaked in ISO to clean them. One thing to note here is that the airflow adjustment can be locked in place - to do this hold the device below the cap, with the cap facing away from you, then rotate the external sleeve clockwise. This will lock the airflow position. If you want to adjust the airflow simply hold the device in the same way again, rotate the sleeve anti-clockwise, then rotate the mouthpiece to adjust the airflow. This is entirely optional and you can just leave it unlocked, but noteworthy because if you aren't aware of this, you may accidentally lock the adjustment without knowing how you did it or how to undo it (like we did when we first got it!)!

Heating

To heat the Dani Punch, aim your blowtorch at the bottom smaller silver ring at a right angle and wait for the clicks (two clicks). Then inhale! It's best to use a medium size Micro Flame Torch such as the Blazer Firefox or Stingray. If you have a larger torch you can heat the whole cap if needed though we wouldn't advise using smaller torches like the pb-207 or cg-001. You can heat a few seconds past the click if desired but to start with it's best to start low to learn the device and avoid combustion. For those of you wanting just a little vapor and all the flavour, or a lower temperature, heat in the same way but aim the torch at the thicker top ring. Doing this will heat the cap less with it clicking at a lower temperature.

If using the Flare 2.0 induction heater we suggest setting to 100w and heating for 30-35 seconds for the initial heat up, then for follow up heat cycles while the cap is still hot just heat to the click.

When you've finished your session you can hold the cap with the provided leather case or use the Leather Loop to safely remove this while hot.

Included

  • Dani Punch Device - Made From Stainless Steel with an Ultem Sleeve
  • Spare O-rings
  • Wood Storage Tube
  • Leather Storage Pouch

Additional Parts (more coming in the near future - currently this is the first edition of the device and all the accessories aren't yet available!)

Please note the sleeve has an anti-clockwise thread, unlike the other threads on the punch. Excessive pressure can cause damage. This has been done so that the airflow adjustment works and the cap can be unscrewed without undoing the stem!

  • The Silver rings on the cap of the Punch may have some dark marks, these are tarnish marks which can occur from moisture in the air, from where the cap has been installed or from the leather case. These Silver rings can be lightly polished with a high grain buffer/nail file though when you touch the silver rings they will again start to form as the oils from your skin react with the metal and oxygen. This is normal for Silver! Torching these rings in the normal way you would when heating it for use will also generally remove these marks over time.
