Plastic Keck Clips are a convenient and cheap solution for clipping together your glassware. Unlike our Metal Keck Clips these can be clipped and unclipped much more easily so are more suitable for joints which are regularly dismantled. Being plastic however they are not heat resistant and should not be used in hot areas.... for a quick release clip for use in hot areas we suggest checking out the metal Sick clips!

Specifications

  • Plastic Keck Clips
  • Easy Release/Low Stess
  • Available in 10mm, 14.4mm or 18.8mm

Please don't force these clips into place, some bubblers/glassware do not allow for the glass joints to sit deep enough into the joint to fit a clip. If the joints are not compatible and you force the clip on this can lead to glass breaking due to it being compressed together, if this happens we cannot replace the glass for you! If this is the case for your setup, we suggest using one of the sick clips as they're more flexible and allow for a little more leeway.

Essential bit of kit

Cheap and effective, what more could you want from a clip. I didn't actually realise I needed one of these until a few years back when I got one as a free gift from Rec Vape Supplies :)

the complaint you've never heard before...

it's too tight!

it's just too tight on the 18mm glass I own, I've tried on just the globe (F)18mm to (M) 18mm plug, and the compression it applies (after removal) leaves me damn near unable to remove the (M) from the (F), so I've swapped to the "Keck clip - stainless steel" which are more malleable and as such work splendidly.

Very true, that is not something I've heard before! Is it possible that the 18mm plug joint protrudes out past the 18mm female joint which is causing this? The plastic keck clips tend to have a looser fit and are easier to remove or replace than the metal ones, this is very surprising to hear! I'd be curious to see a photo of the joint you're having issues with if you wouldn't mind emailing that to info@recvapes.co.uk that would be much appreciated! Thanks for the review!
