We've made some upgraded Cooling Aroma Tubes with XL herb chambers for the Solo 3 to help reduce the heat from the vapor and provide a smoother feeling on the throat than the original straight through tubes provided with the device. These stems are available individually and can be popped into the long smell resistant tubes provided with the Solo 3.
We only have XL Chamber variants since we've found that when using the small chambers the herb sits too close to the heater, making it harder to avoid charring. For microdosing we suggest loading a little in and tamping it gently so that the herb sits higher up in the chamber. This preserves flavour and reduces the likelihood of accidental charring.

Styles
Our XL Cooling Aroma Tubes come in three different styles.
- There is the 10 BB version which has 10 x 4mm Ruby Balls which provide excellent cooling to the vapor. These are 90mm long.
- We also have a dimpled glass stem which provides maximum airflow and slightly less cooling, but are still a large upgrade over the originals. These are 110mm.
- New - We now have the Spiral Cooling Stems which provide the maximum amount of vapor cooling while still retaining the same (for glass screen version) or more airflow (mesh screen version) as the originals. These are 110mm long. Due to the smaller airflow holes which make the spiral these do need cleaning more often as they collect reclaim pretty fast!
Screens
Available with two different screen options; we've made some with mesh screens and some with glass screens like the original. The mesh screen variants provide more airflow and don't choke up like the glass ones do if you pack them heavily and tamp, while the glass screen variants are much the same as the originals in terms of airflow and function but with the benefit of additional vapor cooling. For those of you who'd like to keep any metal out of the vapor pathway the glass screen versions are the way to go, if you don't mind a mesh screen then we'd suggest this version as they require less unclogging and the screens can simply be switched out and/or torch cleaned when they get dirty. Mesh screens are available here.
These stems are also compatible with the Terpcicle Screens which are dome shaped mesh and stay in place even better. If used with the glass screen stems they reduce the capacity slightly, if used with the mesh screen stems they can be pushed further in and actually increase the herb capacity. They are however not compatible with the Dosing Capsules we have available.
Cleaning
Much like the original aroma tubes these can simply be soaked in ISO (after leaving them to cool), then rinsed through with hot water and left to dry.

Please Note
Since these stems cool the vapor more, they also take on and retain a little more heat than the original stems, so it's best to leave them for 10 seconds or so before removing them from the device as they get pretty toasty near the herb chamber end!
If you want to load them with small amounts we suggest using the SQP Mini to tamp with.

Worth every penny to upgrade from a stock xl glass tube, bigger better hits and easy clean too, i got the spiral one and am more than happy with it. Il be ordering another 100% for a spare/extra tube gavent used the stock tubes since this arrived.

I purchased the 110mm dippled version without beads.
Positives:
•Perfect fit. Not too tight but you can lift the device by the stem if needed (dropping 😆)
• excellent cooling even without the beads and at 220°
• the slight sem extension is a nice plus.
Negatives:
• for me, even without the beads the cooling is too much/ the affect on air pathways is pess desirable.
• works perfectly and is durable, but mine came with a warped end. Doesnt affect usage at all, but is extremely annoying nontheless.
• makes cleaning more effort, and gets dirty quicker.
Overall aftermarket solo 3 stem review:
Seems like the standard tube, no dimples, no balls, just the slight increase in length and the snug fit benefits, possibly making it overall superior to the stock 0.5g tube.
I suspect the type of glass may bave impacts on the flavour, but i cant be sure atm. It may have no effect at all, and just provide a much sturdier build, which would unequivocally make it better.
I plan to get around to buying a direct replacement from The Herbalize store. Then getting a standard 110mm replcement stem with the glass filter part naturally, i dont even know why anyone would want the other option tbh.
Thanks for your review. If the stem has a warped end please could you drop me an email with a couple of photos since it's not clear in the one here, I can get a replacement out for you. If you'd like one with a little more airflow the mesh screen versions are designed with that in mind, the others in theory have the same airflow as the original stems when installed in the device, the dimples themselves shouldn't affect the airflow since that should be limited by the herb and the device itself.
To clean them it should just be a case of soaking them in ISO overnight then rinsing through with hot water, no manual cleaning is needed.
All these stems, like the originals, are made from borosilicate glass so the material won't affect the flavour, however any time you add additional cooling to a vaporizer this will increase the amount of condensation in the stem/cooling device so this may be what you're noticing, however with the level of additional cooling provided by these stems it would only be someone who's most sensitive to flavour that may notice this.
