The Flare 2.0 Induction Heater

The Flare 2.0 induction heater is the stealthiest and quietest way to heat your Battery Free Ganz devices. Made with adjustable wattage and an adjustable timer it makes for super easy and repeatable heating of your tip and cap setup, it's also compatible with a range of other devices (see below for further information). In the top there is a hidden cooling and storage magnet for you to pop your Fusion (or other) device on top of after a session or when not in use. This updated version has improved on reliability by using a higher quality chip/pcb and improved thermal venting to reduce overheating. It also now has a thicker user replaceable glass chamber screen; since knocks by users to the glass are the main cause of death for most induction heaters! 

Please note that while the Flare 2.0 is primarily designed to work with the Battery Free Ganz devices. To use it with other setups may not be 100% optimal and a little tweaking of settings and positioning may be required.

Important note!!! - When you remove the glass chamber insert, push it out of the bottom of the unit from the top if possible. Do not push it up from the bottom as you may dislodge the rubber gasket in the bottom of the unit if it's done incorrectly!

Power Up: Requires 3 x MOLICEL p28A 18650 batteries (available optionally - UK Shipping Only for batteries). Always used batteries of the same type with the same charge level, ideally of the same age, it is always best to use batteries in sets to ensure they charge and discharge at the same rate since older and more used batteries will hold less charge than new ones. 

As batteries drain they cannot provide the same amount of power, so if you're using higher wattage settings please keep more charge in the batteries. If they're low on power the Flare will automatically reduce the maximum wattage when you put a device in it to avoid over-stressing the batteries and damaging them. 

Device Compatibility:

• Dani Fusion 2.0: Best results with 100W for 45 seconds - Adjust depth for different results (do not insert past the logo, heat the cap only) 
• 120W will drain your battery quickly, and there’s no need to run it that high for most setups. It will cause sensor lag and retain the heat of the cap (a note from BFG about running 120W with the fusion)
• Anvil/Vestratto: 60–70W for 25–30s, around 20mm depth (going deeper may cause overcurrent warning/cut out).
• Dynavap - 60W max suggested 
• DynaVap HyperDyn -70w max suggested unless using a VSC where you can run it a little higher
• Thermal Accumulator
• Tempest: So, the Flare is technically compatible with the Tempest however it's been suggested by MAD heaters to remove the indicators to avoid them overheating since they sit inside the IH. It can't be placed lower down as that heats part of the stem and causes an over-current cut out warning. Please keep this in mind if you're planning to purchase it for the Tempest, it may be best to use the Ispire Wand instead. We're told the YLL-IH 3.0 is well set up to run it, though we haven't had a chance to test this, we have seen a video and it appears to work very well. 
• Tempest - 60–70W for 25s, 20mm depth for the ceramic insert (going deeper may cause overcurrent). - A customer has suggested 100w for 40 seconds and ignoring the click so this may be worth trying if you find it doesn't get hot enough with the suggested settings. 
• Not yet tested with the Stunner

Please note these suggestions for heating profiles are just suggestions! Since the devices will heat differently depending on the height of the ceramic insert inside there will be a little tweaking for each person. If you find your herb combusts using one of the above suggestions, reduce the time or wattage. I would always say err on the side of caution, you can always heat it a bit more if needed, but once it's combusted you have a cleaning job to do, so work up to hotter temps instead of down from them! 

If the cap material is thinner or not particularly inductive (not great for induction heaters) like the DynaVap or HyperDyn the IH will automatically limit the wattage to the maximum it can provide to it which is why suggested wattage settings are lower for these.

Charging: USB-C compatible, 2 Amp input (please use a 5v charger). For optimal charging performance, use an external battery charger instead of direct charging. This unit does not have pass through charging so please charge it and use it at separate times.

We advise using Molicel p26A or p28A batteries or ones with a similar specification. If purchased with batteries from outside the UK we will edit the order and switch the unit over to the non battery version!
