We don't like plastic Keck Clips, it's that simple really. They aren't heat resistant, they age, degrade and snap. They also tend to stand out like a sore thumb against nice shiny glassware. With this in mind we have sourced some low profile Stainless Steel Keck Clips made from Lab Steel which is an un-hardened standard steel that has been coated with Nickel for it's stainless properties (such as is used on 5, 10, 20 and 50p coins).
Available in 14.4mm and 18.8mm. Please select your desired option.
These Stainless Steel Keck clips provide a super secure connection and require a little force to be installed or removed so should generally be reserved for setups which will not be removed from each other regularly. If needed they can be bent open a little if the fit feels too tight when being installed... please do this to avoid damaging the glass. If it's really hard to install then it will likely break the glass joint so this is a case of using your judgement to avoid breaking your glassware. If you break you glass joint by installing a clip with enough force that it ends up damaging the glass when installed, we cannot replace the glass for you, so please apply these with caution.
Remove the clip by holding one side of the clip in place so it doesn't rotate and pulling the other side, if you pull the whole clip it will be very difficult to remove. We do also stock plastic Keck clips and Stainless Steel Sick Clips which are easier to remove and replace, these our are preferred clips as they're the easiest to use and put the least stress on glass!
