The Cheech and Chong's Mambo herb stick is a little bit different to our regular vapes, some of you may even be here just to work out why it is we have stocked such a vaporizer! Please allow me to explain...
The Mambo is just about the easiest, laziest and cheapest fully functional vape we've come across! It has no adjustable settings... whatsoever... simply load up your herb, fire it up, wait for it to finish the 15 second pre-heat and inhale away! Making use of inhale activation and an 8 second inhale shut off, the Mambo does it all for you, vaporizing your herb between 220-240c for a full bake (and yes slightly popcorny due to the high temps) experience! As this is a convection vaporizer you will need to inhale gently for a few seconds before vapor starts to be produced. Once there is heat in the chamber you can reduce this inhale time.
It's also possible to cheat with the Mambo, if you'd like faster extractions simply stop your inhale and start again immediately, or take back to back inhales when the timer cuts out. This will cause the chamber temperature to rise faster than usual and to slightly higher temperatures more quickly. Used in this way, or when taking long repeated puffs a bit like a cigar, the Mambo can complete a full extraction in around 2 minutes!
Having a built in battery and small size it's very suitable for chucking in a pocket or a bag, or taking out to places you wouldn't want to risk your precious main portable vape. The Mambo will provide 4-5 sessions on a charge and with a 0.15g approximate capacity so will get most people through a little excursion into the world.
All in all this makes for a very convenient vaporizer which heats and vapes quickly, can be taken anywhere without worrying too much about what might happen to it... and would serve you well in the transition away from smoking! Inhale gently as this has a restricted draw resistance. The ability to puff when vapor has started being produced, along with the high temperatures makes this device a little more akin to smoking something you've rolled. Quick, effective and satisfying. It's also compatible with dosing caps so you can load up a tube and take your sessions out with you!
Always ensure the metal contacts on the herb pod (chamber section) and the main unit are clear of debris or this will disrupt the electrical connections. Always ensure the herb pod has been pushed firmly into the base to avoid air leakage and poor electrical contact.
