Near mirror finish polished Silicon Carbide (SiC) inserts designed for the V5 Micro Diffuser are now available.
These are also compatible with the Core 2.0/2.1 and Nice Dreamz Heaters and have been set up to provide optimal performance from the airflow. On the Core E-rig you will need two pre-heat cycles on white (medium-high) or red (high) to get enough heat into them initially. For the Core 2.0 we suggest loading your dab in at the end of the second pre-heat.
SiC has a structurally stick resistant surface that doesn't chazz up easily and can be wiped clean after almost any level of neglect. It is an excellent thermal conductor with the ability to hold on to a huge amount of heat, ideal for those thick clouds. Due to the crystalline structure it is also highly resistant to thermal shock and can be used at over 1000 degrees Celcius (not recommended for vaping). It is chemically inert to all but the strongest acids and so provides a clean and accurate flavour profile from your concentrate without ever degrading.
Simply wipe it clean after each use and if required you can torch off any residual marks, just keep heating it until they go!
Settings for use with the V5 Micro Diffuser
We keep our settings the same and just leave it 20-25 seconds to fully heat, that way we keep the temp control settings. You might want to increase your temp by 20-30C to accommodate for the insert like we do.
