The Quartz Cap Mega by The Rogue Wax Works is the largest of the Conduction/Convection Family of Quartz Capped Torch heated vaporizers currently available. It's pretty much a scaled up version of the original Quartz Cap which is already an incredibly powerful device. This is a heavy hitter with a huge chamber that is suitable only for vapors with a strong resolution when loaded heavily (you can put less in). Being made from glass it has incredible flavour and packs a serious punch (I know this has already been stated, but it really can't be overstated!). The Chamber is a little larger than the original 18mm Quartz Cap while making use of a 14mm joint system.
The Mega Quartz Cap has a large quartz cap which can hold onto more heat so it takes a little longer to heat up than the original, with around a 20 second minimum heat time using a Big Shot Torch or similar. This provides the ability to use larger inhales and clear the entire contents with ease on one heating cycle if desired, without having to run it at the higher end of temperatures. Like the original it is a slightly more conduction (hot surface) weighted in it's heating and uses small slits around the top of the chamber to pull the airflow through.
This setup can either be used natively with medium to course ground herb (or loosely broken up herb) loaded into the glass chamber; or it can be used with the mesh screens that can be inserted into the chamber section to reduce particles getting into the glassware below. Either way a medium to course grind is recommended.
