The Saturn Cooling Device - All Glass Vapor Tamer is a different variant of the original Vapor Tamer which provides more airflow and allows easier cleaning. The trade off here is that the cooling and filtration effect is slightly reduced. Unlike the Original Vapor Tamer which has two 18mm female joints, the Saturn Vapor Tamer has one male and one female 18mm joint. The 18mm male joints can have our Vaporizer hose mounted directly inside without the need for an adapter.
Instead of being filled with only balls, the Saturn Cooling Device has a glass spiral tube inside which makes the vapor path. Around the Spiral tube the Saturn is packed with glass balls. In this setup the glass balls wick heat away from the spiral, keeping it much cooler than a plain spiral adapter which is not surrounded by masses of balls! This makes for more airflow but since vapor isn't being pulled through all the balls the filtration and cooling effect is less than that of the original Vapor Tamer. A huge bonus of this setup is that you never need to empty and clean the balls!
Setup Suggestions
- For use with a whip or as a standalone cooling device you will need an 18mm Male Straight Hose Adapter to connect to one end and length of whip for the other.
- We also advise grabbing an 18mm Sick Clip or Keck Clip for the female joint connection as glass can break if forced to push fit.
- For connecting as an inline cooling setup you will need 1 x 18mm Straight Hose Adapter and Vaporizer Hose for each end, along with an adapter to fit the hose into your bubbler or similar. You might also want to grab an Angled Water Pipe Hose Adapter if you're planning to hook it up to a water tool.
